At CCES, we take children’s ministry very seriously. We don’t believe that children are the church of the future. We believe they ARE the church TODAY! It is for that reason, we invest a great deal of effort and attention to the kids of Calvary Chapel Eastside. We work long and hard as we prayerfully search out each year’s curriculum to decide what studies will best equip these young hearts to serve our Lord and Savior. We staff our children’s ministry department with loving, caring and dedicated teachers and helpers. Even some of our church elders teach weekly and have for many years. This is a big deal to us, as it was to Jesus!
Available Classes
Individual Children’s Classes are available on Sunday Mornings from nursery to 5th grade. Classes are specifically designed for each age group and staffed by well equipped teachers. Our goal is to communicate God’s love to the children at their level of understanding. We don’t just teach the usual “cute stories” from God’s Word, but the whole of Scripture in a way that these little minds can understand.
Our Security Process
We want your time in service as a parent to be as worry free as possible. We require a strict process of check-in/check-out and parent communication. Here are some facts about our process:
- Assigned numbers at check-in allow for notification of each parent “in service” via our on-screen notification system.
- Children’s area monitored at all times by CCES staff.
- “Ouch Reports” signed by Pastoral Staff to notify you in the event of an injury, and exactly what happened.
- Elder oversight and check -in of the children’s ministry area throughout the service time.
